With just over three weeks until Valentines day, the pressure is on to find the perfect card! And in some ways I do agree with him, I know that on the 14th February my Facebook will be filled with photos of extravagant bouquets and expensive gifts, leaving the rest of us feeling a little bit hard done by. With their tongue in cheek captions, littered with humour, laughter and often swear words, they never fail to bring out a childish snigger or even a nervous giggle! When it comes to Valentines Day, Love Layla is very different to other greetings cards out there and shuns hearts and flowers in favour of something far more hilarious! They do have some more family friendly designs, which are perfect if you want something different but have children of reading age!

I was inspired to write this post after being in touch with the lovely folk at Love Layla Designs. Love Layla produces a wide range of greetings cards. They are indeed unique, but at the same time, they are funny, rude and definitely cheeky. I was lucky enough to receive a few samples. Take a look. These a are sample of some of the ones I could share! Not only that but they make a pleasant change to the usual cards that we all give and receive. Love Layla also make wrapping paper too as you can see in the photograph above. Love Layla also sent me this fab little wall calendar which is currently hanging in my kitchen. A different funny quip for each month of the year will be sure to raise a smile by you and those that see it. These cards and calendars are really good value for money and really worth looking at if you want to give greetings cards that are a little bit different this year. I had to see the rest of their collection. So, without futher ado, here is Stacey Dennis answering some questions about Love Layla Designs and their cheeky and to-the-point cards. We are a family run business based in West Yorkshire designing and producing unique Greetings cards with a tongue in cheek humour. Our cards are aimed to spread smiles and create laughter for the good humoured. Could you tell us more about this journey and how Love Layla Designs began? As a Graphic Designer, I have 8 years experience designing around the world and for various sized companies — working alongside Print shops to combine the full Graphic Design and Print experience. Working for a few years within the UK, I then travelled and worked with various companies designing and printing in Australia to returning to the UK after 2 years. After a few more years working for a popular Print and Design business and managing one of their stores — I then setup Love Layla Designs as a freelance business. Greetings cards were launched with unique, cheeky sentiments and Love Layla was developed into Greetings Cards designed and produced. Phew — as quickly as that!

I love that each card is posted discretely in a hard backed envelope to ensure that they arrive in perfect condition. Each card is blank inside so you can add a personal touch with a little message for the one you love. As well as cards you can buy balloons, witty badges, wine labels, calendars and wrapping paper. With 10 years experience within the Graphic Design and Prapping rint industry, Love Layla design all of their own cards and can promise originality in abundance.
