In order to prevent it from happening, warp to the daughter of Chaos and give her 30 humanities to increase your covenant rank. Then go to the right of the area before lost izalith Demon Firesage boss room and walk down the tree branch.
Lost Izalith is a location in Dark Souls. It is found beyond the Centipede Demon 's room, or right before the Demon Firesage if you activate the Chaos Servant shortcut. Lower Lost Izalith is a magma rich environment, thus the Orange Charred Ring will be needed to traverse much of the area safely if the shortcut is not used. The natural path is reached by making one's way through the Demon Ruins and entering the tunnel to the left of the Centipede Demon fog door. Izalith was once the domain of the Witch of Izalith , and was seemingly a great and booming city.

This area is normally first found after defeating the Centipede Demon in the Demon Ruins but can also be accessed early through a shortcut before the Demon Firesage fog gate , but only if you are a level 2 Chaos Servant which costs 30 Humanity. It's the home of the Bed of Chaos , one of the Lord Souls required to finish the game. Welcome To Hell - Finding the exit from the boss arena can be a little frustrating, not because of any enemies or death-defying path well, not since you have the Orange Charred Ring , but because it's a little hard to identify the hole on the wall on the left of the picture below. Continue forward on the path until the end then cross the lava to climb the tree root ahead, and you'll soon come across a big lava filled area dotted with ruined buildings, a few roots and other small pieces of land. You may also notice the many Bounding Demons inhabiting the area, we'll worry about that in a minute. Before you set out into this area, it is essential to equip the Orange Charred Ring you obtained from slaying the Centipede Demon , to make you more impervious to lava damage. Even with the relatively safe path, making it through most of the field via the roots that cross it, you will need this ring equipped at certain points to survive a brief walk through the lava. It is important to note that while the Orange Charred Ring will reduce the damage you receive from lava, your equipped armor will still degrade at the usual rate from lava damage, so ensure you repair your armor as whenever you can. Bounding Demons are the main threat while traversing this lava field, here are a few key tips and notes on them:They're fast, massive, and hard-hitting. Although the lava itself will only do about 3 damage per tick, straying off the route is extremely dangerous due to the bounding demons. Also, one's armour degrades at a rather alarming rate, potentially cost a fortune in repair.

Izalith was once a city constructed in the undergrounds of Lordran, in what seems to be a natural cave system. It is important to say that it also seems to be directly below an archtree. The dravidian theme of the city is unique in Lordran , as were the flame sorceries that the Witches of Izalith dominated and probably imparted there. Izalith is only accesible through Demon Ruins , which were probably the outskirts of the city. At its core, a dome has been built in the shape of a Kiln where the Witch of Izalith attempted to desperatedly recreate the then fading First Flame. The ritual was a failure and it instead distorted the Witch into a being of chaos and fire, the Bed of Chaos. The chaos flames brought ruin to the city, killing and mutating its population and wildlife.
