The festival for the past 16 years presents over 80 groups and ensembles from over 25 countries, and of course the best ethnic musicians from Macedonia. Premium varieties consist largely of chopped dates, pistachios, hazelnuts or walnuts bound by the gel; traditional varieties are often flavored with rosewater , mastic gum , bergamot orange , or lemon.
