Livivo electric blanket

We have a Biddeford blanket with 2 controls. One control has an E showing with no heat. Can you help me out? By Bill B.

They both displayed 4, and let me adjust temperature. They then both displayed E. I can not get the "E" code go away. Dead out of the package.
