OLED is great but the near instant pixel response means for lower frame rate content such as movies 24p and most tv shows 25 or 30p there is stutter. This isn't visible in many scenes but anything with panning and it looks, to me, quite jarring and I dislike it a lot. This isn't an issue with plasma screens as you get some natural motion blur with the pixel response times giving a smoother overall presentation. You can somewhat alleviate the stutter on OLEDs using motion processing on low or using special "cinema" settings on newer models but it isn't perfect as it introduces slight artifacts which also suck plus the smoothing gives ever-so-slight soap opera effect that wasn't present on plasma screens. However for gaming that near instant pixel response for 60 or fps games is freaking awesome. You really can't beat OLED for a gaming display. Just amazing. Usually if something is noticeably jarring, it's judder rather than frame rate. It can be notoriously difficult to get these settings to do what you want on most TVs. For me, I always want "no motion smoothing but with automatic dejuddering enabled", which can be almost impossible, or even impossible in the case of some Samsung TVs. Android TV is a bit janky in general. Interestingly, I believe some amount of subtle panning judder is actually created by cinematic filming. Convention is to use a degree shutter, which means each frame only has half the expected motion blur. The issue is that fast pixel response time does not fix a slow refresh rate.
It is made of aluminum with a hard plastic finish. Smart Features. HDMI 2.
The emissive technology allows it to produce perfect blacks, which is excellent for dark rooms. The image also remains accurate when viewed at an angle, which is great for those with wide seating. It performs well with HDR content, as it can produce very bright and saturated highlights. The motion handling and input lag are also excellent, so it feels very responsive to gamers or PC users. It isn't perfect though, as the brightness changes depending on the screen content and static images shouldn't be shown for long on the TV due to temporary image retention and the risk of burn-in. Excellent TV for a wide range of usages.

That's the case once again. And it's a thin hair: The C8's main advantages are really minor, including slightly better screen uniformity and ephemeral new video processing options. Anybody who bought a OLED TV can rest assured that the newest version isn't significantly better and has an uglier stand. For anybody who wants to save money by getting a OLED TV on closeout now, rather than waiting until this fall for the C8 to drop in price, consider this review a green light. The C8 is the cheapest this year with LG's new Alpha 9 processor, something that will be missing from the B8 when it appears this summer. But the B8 will be less expensive. And that processor isn't worth much extra money in terms of real-world performance, from what I've seen.
