However, this was as much the result of its incredible base stat total as it was its signature ability, Desolate Land. This nullified all damage-dealing Water-type attacks while active, meaning that players only really had to worry about Ground-type attacks and thus making Primal Groudon a very difficult Pokemon to counter.
