So as the title says.

The gap between Bastion of Honour, and the next defensive shield is so large that once I sat down and looked at the math involved in getting my corruption up to ungodly levels, I did more digging into the target farm echos, there I learned about the trap nature and Bastions double roll BS. Taking a look at my character and the struggles I encounter in lower then ideal levels of corruption, I found it easier to skip it entirely. Given its such a massive boost in survival not having it is pretty much pushing me out of the corruption game entirely, so I have very little incentive to farm for another character or to push monoliths, So I guess thats it I finished the end-game? I have more time to farm then your average player but aint nobody got time for that. Sure its hard to get - it should be considering its power - but its not impossible… I have 4 Bastions now, one from Rune of Ascen and the rest from Mono drops… All of them from below corruption runs… if I recall, one came from a shield reward echo and the rest random. My best char is currently farming corruption, and doesnt use a Bastion… In fact, none of my builds that use Bastion have been able to get as high…. I currently have only one.

Remember to get increased health on chest, belt and helmet, and hybrid health on belt, boots and gloves, not everything but keep a look on them. Also if you want to adjust, there's vit on helmet, chest and boots. Armor is pretty good in this game, worth looking for upgrades just for the beefier armor, and grancing blows if you're rogue.

I have been playing the game for over a year. More like a year and a half and have Never gotten this shield. All while hunting, I have been using Runes of Ascendency, 8 in fact, and every time I have gotten junk like the Slab over and over. If you are already hunting in a guaranteed landing which will drop a unique period, it means nothing apparently. Yes, it is very rare. Oddly enough, I guess I can thankfully say that I have almost every one of the really rare ones on the list except maybe 5 or 6. Bastion of Honour is more a point of pride I guess.

So as the title says. I am just unlucky or farming the wrong place. Not a lot of info online on it. I dropped it early patch in act 9 with my paladin. It was my first unique since the new patch. Am I lucky?

TLDR: Bastion is not a chase item in the standard sense, its just another layer of requirement to meaningfully engage in higher content. Everything else is just extra. To me personally, all those threads about Bastion and other items really make me want to have trading in the game. Crit Avoidance is the next one and its also pretty easy and cheap to get. While that would require another complete balance overhaul to make the content harder to bring it in line with the new found player power. You are handed all of the damage you need via levels, as long as you learn to move out of the way you can do the content item-less.

Where as the chase items in LE tend to be build around or flat out required for pushing corruption. Bastion of Honour? If you end up struggling, check out build on maxroll and learn from them, or lastepochtools as a secondary resource. I did go and check my character though and I found that I had far more endurance then I expected given that its not on my list of things to build into. Having said that allow me to assuage your fears about power creep. I know this is very rare, but it shows that corruption is just added chance. I guess Endurance gets no love. All praise the RNGods… The daggers have dropped so often for me during random play that I have stopped picking them up… Still only one Bastion tho….
