Kolbjorn Barrow is a medium-sized Nordic ruin southeast of Raven Rock containing draugr. The entrance is initially buried, and the ruin cannot be entered until part of it has been excavated during the quest Unearthed. For historical information about Kolbjorn Barrow, see the lore article. There are two draugr in alcoves in the first room of the catacombs, one immediately on your left as you enter, and the other diagonally opposite. Any attacks, including sneak attacks, on these draugr will alert a third, magic-using draugr, who will come running from the next room.

After speaking with Ralis Sedarys at Kolbjorn Barrow , you can fund his excavation in order for him to unearth the barrow and find the artifacts that his employers have sent him to recover. First you need to find Ralis at Kolbjorn Barrow. Then speak with him and offer to fund his expedition. After a few days, head to the barrow or wait for a courier to find you with a message from Ralis. Immediately head over to Kolbjorn Barrow. Once there you learn that the group had accidentally awakened the Draugr in the Barrow and were all subsequently killed, save for Ralis. Ralis also mentions that had they not awakened the Draugr, the group would have given up anyways as they had met a "dead end". Head inside the Barrow and take care of the Draugr inside. With all the Draugr dead, all thats left to do is to find a way to head deeper. Just move the bloody skull on the altar in the center of the room and then head back to Ralis.

Ralis tells the Dragonborn that he has an investor who wants the relics of Ahzidal , but they are buried deep within Kolbjorn Barrow. Multiple investments and many days will be required in order for Kolbjorn Barrow to be excavated.
