Kingsdown Camping is a massive field placed right on top of the White Cliffs. Not that we needed or used them because I think we took about a million deckchairs with us and they were much comfier! We were right by the beach path, with plenty of space for our multiple tents, cars and deckchairs GOD. The views were absolutely stunning , but kinda ruined by the fact that at this point I realised that the strong wind had successfully hidden the fact that actually the sun was HOT and I was burning. The village of kingsdown with 2 pubs in a 10 minute walk, the kingsdown camping deal head and rising sun and butchers and post office shop are a bonus and pubs do lovely ales!

Camping check out is by 12pm. If would like to extend your stay after 12pm then we offer a 'Late Check Out' option that allows you to stay at the campsite until 6pm. The top part of the site had been cordoned off for an enormous school party, which caused my heart to sink a bit but actually the teachers managed everything really well and the kids were great - quieter than the party of blokes in the 'Quiet' part of the site that is not supposed to be for groups. Situated within walking distance for shops and pubs and only 5 minute drive from Deal, 10 minute drive to Dover there is plenty to do if you want to venture away from the campsite. Shower cubicles are clean and modern but basic: a push button shower very short duration for each push - I counted 8 seconds , and a changing area no bench, 3 hooks , into which water sprays so take a plastic bag to put your clothes in on a hook. Very friendly helpful Reception staff, the showers and toilet blocks were kept very clean though the campsite was sparsely occupied so not under pressure , and the most wonderful views.
