This would be my last post on UPSC. It is a sentimental moment for me — for the association which started 3 years ago and gave me my life defining moment is going to end. But the time has come to move on. In the past two months and even before, I have given to the aspirants all I had to give. To carry on would be futile. My years as a young derivatives trader in the financial world firmly taught me that we can excel only when we do something purely because we love to do it, and not when we mix any other reasons in it. If we bring in other reasons, then slowly the pure love gets diluted and so does the quality of our effort and output.

The 70th Senior National Kabaddi Championship is set to ignite Maharashtra as teams from across India prepare to battle it out for the coveted title. The tournament will be held at the District Sports Complex in Ahmednagar from March 21st to 24th, While we await the announcement of squads for all participating teams, here's a closer look at the confirmed squads for Himachal Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Indian Railways. Through Trial to Triumph by Paul Walsh We were lucky to have the chance to host 22 boys from Auckland Grammar School in Kolkata last week and what marvellous Ambassador's they have proven to be for their school and New Zealand. While they may have been knocked a little sideways by our city we were delighted to be knocked out by their attitude. It's not often you get to meet 22 young men who are ready to take on and try pretty much anything, even when it leaves them throwing up in a gutter! On Saturday we packed into cars and headed to Brooklyn a rarely visited spot in the heart of Kolkata's sprawling dock area.

Khelo India Youth Games KIYG , are the annual national level multidisciplinary grassroot games in India held in January or February for two categories, namely under years school students and under college students. Here total of trainers will be trained in 4 batches of 40 each in December—January period. This TOT Programme will be carried out semi-annually or quarterly to include all the interested teachers, principals, vice-principals and physical education trainers. On 22 February , Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the first edition of the Khelo India University Games in Cuttack to give athletes the exposure of multi-disciplinary events at the university level. The inaugural games had students competing for gold medals across 17 sports. Badminton , basketball , boxing , cricket 26 gold medals , gymnastics 20 gold medals , judo 16 gold medals , kabaddi , volleyball and wrestling 30 gold medals were held at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium Complex. Athletics 36 gold medals , football , kho kho and weightlifting 16 gold medals were held at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. Karni Singh Shooting Range were other venues. Only selected school kids below the age of 17 years are eligible to compete. In the individual sports, top 8 sportsperson from the School Games Federation of India's National School Games, 4 nominations from federation, one from Central Board of Secondary Education , one from the host State and 2 wild card entries for the individual events will be selected.
