Karazhan is a tall tower, the home of the Medivh, a mage responsible for opening the Dark Portal on Azeroth to let the Orcs through. Karazhan was the first raid in the Burning Crusade. As befitting his title, the Last Guardian of Tirisfal had amassed a vast collection of writings and artifacts that dwarfs even that of the Kirin Tor. Following the third invasion of the Burning Legion , Khadgar moved into the tower, seeking knowledge to save Azeroth. Karazhan , as a level 70 ten-man raid instance, was opened in World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade. Return to Karazhan is a megadungeon released in World of Warcraft: Legion. One of the coolest designs for a dungeon in recent World of Warcraft history has to be Return to Karazhan.
