KEMP Hospice was forced to temporarily close its six shops across Wyre Forest following the outbreak of the coronavirus in March, cutting off vital funding streams. Rachel Newey, Online Retail Manager at KEMP, says the money is helping to pay for the lunches which are being delivered to patients in isolation at home. As well as the closure of its shops, KEMP had to shut its donations centre on Lisle Avenue in Kidderminster, meaning no further items could be sorted and put up for sale until the government lifted the restrictions. But after going through the stock stored in the donations centre, Rachel said it was clear KEMP could still make money through online sales. With the help of colleague Louise Holyoake and volunteer Rashmi Aryal, the hospice has been inundated with bids for items. They just fly out of the door.
