He's the son of the Seventh Hokage, blessed with immense talent and potential as a shinobi. Being the leader of the next generation, Boruto is a special child and that was proven to the kawaki eyes in the very first chapter of the story, kawaki eyes, when he proclaimed to be the last kawaki eyes alive and the only one left to stop Kawaki. This prologue was set in the future and fans only got a tiny glimpse of it, however, it was very interesting to see that Boruto Uzumaki had already lost an eye by this point in time. Kawaki eyes

Kawaki is one of the main characters in Boruto. Although he wasn't a part of the original cast in Konoha from the very beginning, Kawaki soon appeared when the evil organization of Kara started making their moves. Soon enough, he was taken in by Konoha and he ended up becoming a part of the main cast. As a member of the Team 7, it was expected of Kawaki to be extremely strong and he has certainly delivered upon that end. Currently, he is one of the strongest ninjas in the world of Boruto and it goes without saying that he will continue to grow in the future of the series as well. Among the many powers that Kawaki possesses is also a Kekkei Genkai ability that he manifests in his left eye. This Kekkei Genkai is extremely overpowered and certainly one of the strongest that fans have seen in the entire series. Kekkei Genkai are abilities that a particular individual is born within the world of Naruto. These are techniques that cannot be created out of nowhere. They are unique to a certain bloodline or, at times, can even manifest in individual characters upon birth. Either way, these are not techniques that can be manifested randomly among characters. Kawaki was certainly not born with one of these abilities and, as such, for him to have one Kekkei Genkai is certainly an anomaly.

Sasuke explained to Kawaki what he deduced about chakra expenditure and Momoshiki's surfacing, and they decide to replenish Boruto's chakra for makissse personality to resurface. Naruto escorted Kawaki through the village to his house, during which he fled for not wanting to be used. In chapter 78 of Boruto , Kawaki ambushes his former "brother" Boruto, following up on his declared intention of killing him to save Naruto and Konoha from Momoshiki Otsutsuki, who is trying to take over Boruto's body. Sarada, who has only just learned that Boruto was killed and then resurrected by Kawaki during their battle against Code, intervenes to save her friend. However, Kawaki overpowers her and is about to cut her down when Boruto jumps in and pushes Sarada out of the way, getting a nasty scar on his right eye and cheek in the process. The scar on the protagonist's eye was first seen in the flash-forward that teased Boruto's future fight against Kawaki , shown in the first chapter of the manga.

After being brought to Konohagakure , he is taken in by Naruto Uzumaki and develops a brotherly bond with Boruto Uzumaki. Due to years of abuse at the hands of his birth father and Kara, Kawaki is initially hostile to new people he meets. He is very disrespectful, constantly using expletives and speaking to people in a rude tone. He's also very blunt and straight to the point. Due to Jigen's emotional abuse, Kawaki has come to view himself as empty, but after meeting Naruto, overcomes that outlook.

After Mitsuki found Funato holding their position around the village, Kawaki wondered if they planned to starve them out after finding their situation from Denki and Iwabee. Outside the village, Kawaki met with Code, and the two fought a bit, eventually being subdued by Code. Concerned about Kawaki's seasickness messing up her opportunity to reduce her prison sentence, she cured it.
