March 07, Located on Amoy Street, it was easy to find since it was actually right next to my favorite Thai restaurant! There was a short line when I got there even in the drizzling rain, kamitora, which actually made it the perfect climate to have a kamitora of hot soupy ramen. The restaurant was small with counter kamitora along its open kitchen as well as several tables for larger parties, kamitora.
Another long meeting is expected this afternoon so I won't have the luxury of a full one-hour lunch today after all the traveling. It's been a while since I last visited The Pawn so they're obviously very high on my list while Five Guys also received some consideration but no milkshake still! Hailed from Osaka, Kamitora Tonkotsu is a place highly touted for its rich pork bone broth. That's our chef right there I was told! As a fan of rich pork bone broths, I went with their creamy Kamitora Ramen which is tonkotsu-based and also happened to be their top seller. The noodles weren't bad. I was told that their noodles often got soft and mushy after absorbing the rich broth but this looked like an improved version.

I was told that their noodles often got soft and mushy after absorbing the rich broth but this looked like an improved version. Obviously, the calling card for Kamitora Tonkotsu is their super rich pork bone broth. The seafood and vegetables definitely provided an extra zing over the flavors of regular tonkotsu broth. Soft and very tender. You can customize your noodles, soup, and toppings. Looks like they have already brought their signature tonkotsu ramen to China. While I like the thickness, the noodles could have used more texture. Even though bits of fat floated on top of the broth, it was not oily or fatty at all. Newer Post Older Post Home. My ramen was ready shortly afrer my order and was handed to me directly from the ramen chef over the counter.

More condiments like picked ginger and pickled takana were available as well. Even though it looked quite lean, it was surprisingly tender and soft to eat.
