Joie are pioneers of multi-stage car seats and a leader in the market, with the popular Joie Stages and Joie Every Stage seats being the most similar to the Stages FX. It places well within the multi-stage car seat category — I can see the Stages FX being a popular choice over both the Joie Stages and Joie Every Stage as it seems to hit a sweet spot in terms of price point and longevity. The instruction booklet has the wording a few pages ahead of the diagrams, which involved repeatedly flitting between them. So it took me a little while, but I eventually got my head around them! But remember, here at MFM we always think it's better to get an expert to show you how to safely install a car seat in your vehicle before you buy it. Yes, it's light enough to be carried with one hand and move from one car to the other, but bulky enough to make that leg-bangingly awkward. With six recline positions — two rear-facing and four forward-facing, and with plush, deluxe cushioning and fabrics, you can be sure your little one is travelling in comfort whether they want to relax and nap or sit up and watch the world go by. Last week Erin turned four, and having been through quite a growth spurt both in height and weight, was rapidly growing out of her existing car seat.
