Jurassic Mainframe. About a month ago, reddit user, EvoTheIrritatedNerd created a map of the era Jurassic Park overlayed onto the topographical map of Isla Nublar as its current appearance in film canon. Like Dislike. Not bad. That map is pretty on point considering it's using only the JW map update in conjunction with the original brochure tour map. The only major issue with this that the VC should probably be moved back by the Raptor holding pen though however and there's a couple other tweaks needed here and there to it. Considering it's only using the tour species I think it's pretty much on point.

For a very long time, the Map of Isla Nublar was a subject of debate. The contradictions between the Brochure prop map, the maps from the Control Room computer screens, and the locations shown in the movies made it clear, that the in-depth look of Jurassic Park never was a thing. And then Jurassic World came and the thing got even worse with a total redesign of the whole island. So, my goal was to make a consistent map of Isla Nublar that could work for both Jurassic Park and Jurassic World movies. The base was Jurassic Park's Isla Nublar design, which is considered canon by a vast amount of people, including me. The topography, on the other hand, was based on what we've seen in the movies, with the use of maps of filming locations. The first and foremost is the map of Jurassic Park , the Hammond's dream itself. While consistent with other fan depictions of Isla Nublar in some ways, it also has some tweaks which help it stand out. The Second one is the map of the infamous Jurassic World. For it, I decided not to use any official maps because of how much they contradict what we see in the movie.

After Steven Spielberg did a fantastic job in adapting Jurassic Park and bringing to life Isla Nubar, it isn't surprising that some fans wanted to know more about the fictional island and filming locations. According to Jurassic Park's director of photography, Dean Cundy, another reason why Spielberg also chose Oahu over Costa Rica was because he was concerned about the latter's road infrastructure and accessibility via Tico Times.

It is a very compelling piece of work about the relationship between science and ethics, and it is even more relevant now than it was back in the 90s when it was released.
