The Season of Discovery is aiming to completely disrupt the established DPS meta of WoW Classic by including new Runes that drastically increase the power available to all classes. Season of Discovery rankings are based on pure DPS strength and group-added-value such as utility, survivability, mobility, and self-sustain. February 15 update: Our initial predictions were far off for two reasons. First, melee Hunters are the strongest class without question, where the new runes have proven more powerful than what anyone imagined.

Havoc gameplay in Dragonflight revolves around a mixture of a build and spend resource management system paired with some short cooldowns that need to be used efficiently within the rotation. This loop causes an ebb and flow of high damage windows and key presses in between filling global cooldowns efficiently, creating a fast-paced melee with an engaging damage loop that is mostly GCD-locked regardless of build. It has excellent mobility, relatively strong survival and a variety of damage profiles available, whether it be burst, cleave or AoE, making it a great all-rounder. We are maintaining a list of changes for Demon Hunters, so you can see what changes with every patch of Dragonflight. Due to Patch The only change of note is changing the spell school of The Hunt and Elysian Decree to Chaos to align with new animations.

There are often moments of tier set and class tuning, as well as talent changes and secondary stat scaling that will impact the placement of the specs. I have worked hard on preparing for Season 3 of Dragonflight , spending numerous hours per day examining each and every class and spec in a dungeon environment. This Tier list will continue to be updated as much as it requires over the course of Dragonflight and it will also focus on what the "meta" will look like as it stabilizes. There will be no Warcraft Logs rankings added nor simulation data for the majority of the classes and specs. Moreover, this Tier list will take into consideration every impactful class change and tier set tuning before and after the start of the season.
