The throttle position sensor, or TPS, is used to control the actual throttle position relative to the amount of feedback it receives from the "Go Pedal. I have seen a few say to set it to the 20 volt DC setting to test it The lowest on mine is 40 volts. But I have seen others say to set it down to the battery testing setting. I should have just tried it myself, but I'm sure I ain't the first one with this question. Guess I was setting it right all along. Also need to consider if your multimeter has been calibrated or not.
