Set in the forest canopy, these are all ample bungalows built on raised stilts, featuring polished hardwoods, slate bathrooms with waterfall showers, canopy beds, large picture windows, and a balcony or outdoor deck. Especially nice are the wrap-around floor-to-ceiling windows in Glade, and the private Jacuzzi nook in Eden. You can take in superb sunset views from the main lodge, where daily afternoon tea. Owner Jennifer King is almost always on-site and really pays attention to the fine details. This lodge has excellent in-house guides and very personalized service.

We really loved the owner and her staff who went above and beyond. This hotel and staff exceeded all expectations. Rising Sun room amenities include an indoor sitting area, treetop balcony with a view of the cloud forest, in room safe, Wi-fi, radio-alarm clock, hairdryer, mini bar, complimentary tea, and coffee maker. Delicious breakfast. No pools. Monteverde Butterfly Gardens. Would request to spend more time here in the future - a day to just relax and do as little as possible. Overall, we were expecting something more for the price. Best place of any we went to, the location was outstanding, the views were unlike anything I could have expected, Jen was the perfect host and I felt completely coddled. Starting November this will be an adult only hotel. Coffee maker. Really appreciated the help with tours and that the cost to town for dinner was covered. It started out right with welcome drinks and a cozy atmosphere. Far and away the best "hotel" we have stayed at anywhere in the world and Nayara is in that category of beyond-expectations wonderful, too. So special to surprise my daughter with birthday balloons and a cake and song! Can't say enough good about this place.
