The development of those who learn Turkish as a foreign language in teaching is not at the same level in different fields of skills. This situation can affect many aspects such as the similarities or differences of the native languages of those who learn Turkish as a foreign language with Turkish, the distribution of activities in the lessons, the skills of teachers on the subject, the environment in which the student grows. In fact, in the study made, the alphabet between the Georgian and the Turkish, many differences such as linguistics, have been attempted to demonstrate the influence of the students on their learning of the Turkish language through their speech skills. The reason for speaking skills being discussed is that the Georgian students who learn Turkish in Georgia have the hardest field of skills to be speaking skills. The research is aimed at identifying the problems they encounter in the speech skills of B2 students studying at the Batum Shota Rustaveli State University Turkology department during the spring semester of the academic year and presenting various solutions to the issues they find difficult. Pre-test and final tests of the courses continued with distance learning due to the Covid 19 epidemic have also been taken online. In this study, using the story map technique in the collection of data, research data was evaluated by two field experts academics and studied taking into account the single-group pre-test final test design derived from experimental application.

According to the findings, a significant difference was obtained between the pretest and posttest. Thus, with this study, it was concluded that the problems encountered by the students in verbal expression skills were generally similar or close. Various suggestions have been developed and presented with the support of the literature, taking into account what kind of studies should be done in order to eliminate the mistakes or deficiencies in expression, vocabulary, grammar and phonology skills of students whose mother tongue is Georgian while learning Turkish.
