The gruesome ghoul, the grisly ghoul, Without the slightest noise, Waits patiently beside the school To feast on girls and boys. He lunges fiercely though the air As they come out to play, And grabs a couple by the hair And drags them far away. He cracks their bones and snap their backs And squeezes out their lungs, He chew their thumbs like candy snacks And pulls apart their tongues. He slices their stomachs and bites their hearts And tears their flesh to shreds, He swallows their toes like toasted tarts And gobbles down their heads. Fingers, elbow, hands and knees And arms and legs and feet. Here, they discover that Ma and Pa Skillet are being scared out of their Fenokee Fizz business by a Gator creature that is haunting the swamp nearby. The episode opens with the Gang driving through Hokeyfenokee Swamp at night. Freddy explains that Ma and Pa Skillet called them down to investigate the Ghost of a Gator Ghoul that has been pestering them. Little does he know that the Gator Ghoul is outside watching them, and casting a yellow tint on the Mystery Machine with his glowing eyes. Oblivious to the danger, Daphne asks if Scooby knows Scooby-Dum, and Shaggy replies that they are cousins. Pa Skillet takes the gang to the Fenokee bottling room, where the bottling machines are sitting idle. We also learn that Scooby-Dum is studying to become a police dog, and upon hearing for clues, Scooby-Dum breaks out the magnifying glass and gets busy searching. In the process, they run into the Gator Ghoul, and a quick chase emerges until Scooby-Dum accidentally turns on a soda machine that wards off the Gator Ghoul. She also loaned them money to help them stay afloat. As Simon Stingy is so grumpy, Velma decides they should investigate him further as a suspect.

The gang is on their way to see Scooby-Dum , Scooby-Doo 's cousin. They learn that his owners Ma and Pa Skillett used to be in the business of making a special drink called Fenokee Fizz , but business has been terrible because of a strange alligator creature haunting the swamps where they live. When Daphne questions if the two dogs even know each other, Shaggy and Velma explain that they're actually cousins but haven't seen each other since they were puppies. Ma and Pa Skillett own a showboat restaurant featuring a special drink called Fenokee Fizz. On the way, they are stalked by a strange, bipedal alligator creature that flashes yellow beams from its eyes. Scooby and the gang arrive at the showboat and meet Scooby's cousin, Scooby Dum. They also meet Ma and Pa Skillett, who tell the gang about the gator ghoul and how it has been scaring their customers and ruining their business. The old couple shows the gang to the machinery room where the gang starts looking for clues. In the process, they run into the gator ghoul who chases them briefly. Scooby Dum accidentally turns on the soda machine and the machine overflows with soda, fending off the alligator monster.

Bobby is a scary story for Halloween about a woman who tries to bring her drowned son back from the dead using black magic. I'd probably rate this book one and a half stars, but I enjoyed it.
