Giants mountaintop catacombs
To find this dungeon, go north from Zamor Ruins until you reach the bridge with fire monks, then turn south east and follow the slope down to the door.
An Imp will throw knives from the end of the room, and another one will drop from the ceiling. Now, proceed left to a room full of three imps; one will ambush, and two will throw pots from afar. Kill them, then use the second elevator that has chains. Move south to a large room that has a statue and make a way to the right, climb the stairs, and go to another room on the left without stepping on the trap. This area is full of giant blades going up and down as well as Exploding Living Jars. Proceed south, then enter the room to the left and climb another set of stairs to be greeted by multiple Land Squirts. Keep moving forward while ignoring the Elden Ring enemies and exit the room quickly to enter another one.

It is an optional dungeon that is home to a few treasure items and a miniboss Foe. This page contains information on the location, walkthrough, and guide to traverse this dungeon, locate all of its treasure, and tips to defeat the enemies within. On the path through the Mountaintops of the Giants, head east from Zamor Ruins, and as you approach the large bridge, loop around the right-hand side just before the bridge to see a path sloping down to some double doors buried in the rock face. Beyond the Site of Grace, down the two flights of stairs, you'll enter a room lined with statues of Erdtree Burial Watchdogs. A Fanged Imp with a two-handed sword will drop from the ceiling across the room. The small room to the west has two more Fanged Imps; one directly ahead in view, and one waiting to ambush you from the right as soon as you enter. There is a Grave Glovewort 7 against the back wall. In the previous room, to the north, head down the next flight of stairs is another room with two Fanged Imps, one on the opposite end and one that will drop from the ceiling in the center of the room. As you turn the corner at the end of the corridor you'll arrive at a lift. Before riding it down, grab the Grave Violet tucked in the left-hand corner. At the bottom of the lift, you'll see the locked doors ahead. Pass down the stairs to the left and defeat the Fanged Imp patrolling the corridor, as well as two additional Fanged Imps in the central alcoves of the next room who will bombard you with blue flame bombs. Ahead is another lift to ride down.
I just wanted to be done with this. If you follow the guide above it's not too bad.
Frustrating traps and confusing routes pepper the catacombs dungeons of Elden Ring. These, coupled with difficult enemies and an intimidating boss, make the Mountaintop Catacombs one of the more difficult catacombs in the game. Further, many of the more difficult enemies in the dungeon can be easily cheesed, and the final boss is more bark than bite. After crossing the Zamor Ruins , you will come to a long bridge guarded by numerous Thorn Sorcerers and a Fire Prelate. At the bridge, turn to the south and follow the path to the left, beside the slope. The door to the catacombs will be at the end of the path.

Although the nature of any ranged strategy is to leverage distance, the boss room in this case is quite cramped so you'll have to get used to fighting the Ulcerated Tree Spirit up close and personal. Take advantage of the boss's slow wind-up times between attacks to punish it then.

This is my second night. Use the traps against the Jars and Cat Statue Mage things. Down the stairs is a Lesser Burial Watchdog with a staff. After this, you will come to an elevator suspended by chains. Drop down through the hole below , into the room containing the Large Living Jar and two holes in the floor. Continue east through the L-shaped room full of land squirts, up the stairs to a room with another two Living Jars. Similar rooms will be numbered to help. This is the giant-conquering hero's grave. Go downstairs into a chamber. A frustrating, confusing slog with repeating locations, fake lever statues, bomb-jars everywhere, an Ulcerated Tree Spirit for a boss, and nothing to show for it but a useless Golden Seed. At the bottom of the lift, you'll see the locked doors ahead. The little drop down is there, and the longer hall with a watchdog is on the top floor. I look at it as a love and hate relationship.. I just like the suddenly massive land squirt lol. A Fanged Imp with a two-handed sword will drop from the ceiling across the room.

The passage guarded by the watchdog contains a statue that breathes frost at you and will do a large amount of damage. An enemy you will be overtly familiar with at this stage in the game, the Ulcerated Tree Spirit is identical to other versions you have faced in the past, both in other Dungeons and in the open world. Optional Route 2: Take the path to the right when facing the statue, then pass the guillotines to find another giant living jar, guarding a Grave Glovewort 8. The Tree Spirit often has long wind-ups to its attacks but executes them very quickly so can take you by surprise. Frustrating traps and confusing routes pepper the catacombs dungeons of Elden Ring. I didn't even bother to backtrack to keep runes, but straight up used Memory of Grace just to get it done with. Ulcerated Tree Spirit. Nothing can save you from the awful boss though. Really resent the little exploding pots that are not targetable and damage you through stone walls, not kewl. In the previous room, to the north, head down the next flight of stairs is another room with two Fanged Imps, one on the opposite end and one that will drop from the ceiling in the center of the room. Am I the only one that genuinely likes these maze-like catacombs? This route is a dead-end to make your way back up Elevator 1.
As much as necessary.
Certainly. And I have faced it. Let's discuss this question.
I consider, that you are not right. Write to me in PM, we will communicate.
