I'm Gemma, a Preston based wedding, family and events photographer. I'm a Mum to Madison and running a business with a little one is filled with challenges but one that is worth while every single day. Thank you so much for the memories. I graduated from UCLan with a degree in Photography with honours in and before that I had already studied the subject for 2 years at A-Level in college. Keen to put all of that studying into practice, I began freelancing and then in I finally made the decision to put down roots and set up as Gemma Marie Photography and build a studio on my very doorstep - I haven't looked back since! My gorgeous and spacious home studio is based in Penwortham, Preston. When you're here you can expect a really relaxed environment in a professional setting with all the tea's and coffee's until your hearts content. Whether you're in front of the camera or a spectator, I'll make sure you have an experience to write home about. A passionate oncology nurse, in she decided to take a leap of faith that would see her move to the deserts of Saudi Arabia to pursue her dreams of travelling the world. Always a keen writer, it was during her travels across the Middle East and spending time working and living on tropical islands that her debut poetry book 'screaming wings' was born. Taking inspiration from her own fight against society's norms and expectations, today Gemma spends her time enjoying an eclectic life of travelling, writing and nursing. She hopes to inspire others with her poetry and prose telling her story of diversion from the world's rat race.
