Gastrodon smogon

This is where you can request Pokemon and ask for my opinion on how they do competitively, gastrodon smogon. Warning: My opinion Requested by: TheRainbowSylveon.

Gastrodon has an excellent defensive typing, only being weak to Grass. This typing allows it to check threats like Steelix, Aggron and Charizard. Storm Drain gives it an immunity to Water, checking water types. This makes it a great volt switch absorber. Scald allows Gastrodon to cripple offensive Pokemon with a chance to burn, also doing decent damage. Earth Power conpliments Scald, as it hits most offensive Water types, and Recover allows Gastrodon to stay around longer. Toxic does consistent growing damage, though Clear Smog may be used instead to counter set up Pokemon.

It evolves from Shellos starting at level Gastrodon has two different forms : West Sea Gastrodon , which is pink and brown in appearance, and East Sea Gastrodon , which is blue and green. They are found on the respective sides of Sinnoh 's mountain range. Much like its pre-evolved form, it has a slug-like body with a round head and a mantle covering the top half of its body. It has six stubby legs and two black eyes with white pupils, with a mark imitating a third eye appearing on its forehead. A yellow stripe runs along the edge of its mantle, through its two lower eyes, and around the back of its head. Like Shellos , Gastrodon has two forms based on the sea it lives in.

Allready got clear smog on Gastrodon. Earthquake can do a lot of damage, but a Scald of it's own can limit the effectiveness of that. I will need something with a water immunity at least. It's defense isn't the best either, so physical sweepers make it feel like bruises are always going to be on it's body.
