Fusion 360 repeat sketch

The end goal is to create the same pattern of the holes over the entire surface. Im creating grille holes on a square surface, fusion 360 repeat sketch, how do I simply copy and paste the circle shape so I don't have to keep sketching the same concentric circle over the entire surface as a pattern?

Can anyone help me? I am working a lot with geometrical polyhedra in Fusion where many of the faces are the same. A lot of the work is very repetetive and I am trying to increase my workflow speed when editing bodies. I am working on a Star Tetrahedron see screenshot. In this particular piece I want to repeat a sketch on every face in this case a simple triangle on 24 faces for extrusion etc.. Some of my other designs have up to 60 equal faces!

I'm a complete beginner, I apologize if this is a silly question. I searched the forum and watched YouTube before posting. The answer might be out there I just couldn't find it. Or more likely it was in front of my face and I just didn't understand what I was looking at. I have a simple sketch that I'd like to repeat multiple times ultimately creating a sketch that is a repeating pattern. When the sketch is complete I'll extrude the sketch and use it in an assembly with other simple parts. As you can see the part is made up of a series of the same repeating pattern. I created a sketch of the base pattern and want to repeat that pattern thereby extending my sketch to the same length as the drawing. Sketch to be repeated What I mean is that it duplicated my sketch but they were not connected to each other and if I move one in space the other remains in place. I tried using the coincident constraint to 'connect' the two but don't feel as though I'm on the right path. Ultimately to be used in an assembly. I can force it to appear correctly and push through to the extrusion but I'd much prefer to learn how to address the problem in the proper, most elegant way without extraneous constraints and dimensions. Extrude your basic shape, and then make a or many Rectangular patterns of the shaped extrusion, in the Modelling area,.

I do now want to fill the remaining plane with as many cutouts as possible on X and Y. There should be a fixed spacing between each cutout. When I later on change the size of the plane the amount of cutouts should increase or reduce. A rectangular pattern can not fill the space but only create n instanes. I hope it's clear what I want to do. Go to Solution. Solved by g-andresen.

Learn how to design smarter and save time while 3D modeling with the pattern command and timeline rearranging features in Fusion When it comes to computer-aided design CAD , efficiency and time-saving strategies are paramount. If your design involves recurring features, bodies, or components, you should always consider using patterns or mirrors. Patterns allow you to replicate features or components effortlessly, eliminating the need to recreate them manually. By applying this technique, you can maintain consistency throughout your design and make modifications efficiently. This serves as a valuable tool for scrolling back to various points in your design process, allowing you to review and modify your model easily.

Please let us know if you find the video helpful by leaving feedback on our Self-Paced Learning site. A sketch is a geometric profile that forms the foundation of 3D geometry in a design in Fusion Before creating 3D objects in your design, you need to create the underlying sketch profiles that drive the overall shapes of the parametric solid, surface, or T-spline bodies that make up your design. A sketch is the backbone of any subsequent parametric modeling.
