To train and develop technically and tactically competent Quartermaster Soldiers in the 92Y MOS who can perform unit supply functions and unit armorer certification. These tasks also include security and administration of a unit arms room as well as organizational maintenance of small arms. At skill level 10, the 92Y receives, inspects, inventories, loads, unloads, segregates, stores, issues, delivers and turns in organization and installation supplies and equipment. In the small arms area, the 92Y issues and receives small arms, secures and controls weapons and ammunition in security areas, and schedules and performs preventive and organizational maintenance on weapons.
