Opting for onions on top, this garnish complimented the saltiness of the sausage and provided a satisfying crunch as we demolished the sausage. Oozing with rich and indulgent but not smelly cheese, this sausage is warming, generously filled, and extremely satisfying. For dessert, we had to go for the hot chocolate. And yes, the one with all the toppings — whipped cream, marshmallows, and a flake — for the extra 50p duh!

Festive visitors can expect all the familiar sights and sounds of the annual markets, which opened today, November 10 and runs until Thursday, December Anyone who has been to Manchester's Christmas Markets know it's the impressive array of food and drink that makes it a great day out. There's a vast choice across the sprawling market's nine zones, from gluhwein and bratwurst to steins and crepes covered in chocolate sauce. This year more than ski chalet stalls have taken residence across Manchester's streets, from Piccadilly Gardens to King Street - and back again, reports the MEN. But what can you expect to pay this year at the stalls? How much will your sausages, gluhwein and beer, plus whatever sweet treats you might fancy, set you back? Below, you'll find a comprehensive list of all the food and drink stalls, and what you can expect to be charged.

There are more than stalls across the nine sites, selling everything from beer and crafted gifts to sweets and burgers. It can only mean one thing in Manchester - the city's Christmas Markets are back and an obligatory visit for thousands of people across the North West is on the cards. The annual festive event opened today November 10 and there is an impressive variety of food, drink and gift stalls spread out all across the centre's main shopping streets. The main hub of the event will be at Piccadilly Gardens once again and it has been transformed into the "Winter Gardens" for a second year. The markets will open daily until Thursday, December 21 and as a general rule of thumb the opening times for the different market zones, craft and gift stalls will be 10am to 8pm Monday to Sunday while bars serving alcohol will be open from 11am to 9pm. Cathedral Gardens will be open a little longer over the festive period, until January as it is hosting the big ice skating rink, Skate Manchester.
