She's far and away my favorite secondary character in the series, but I don't think beating the party was as easy as she pretended it was. The first time she wins handily without finishing anyone off and just leaving you knocked out. Obviously the first round was fairly easy for her and maybe she didn't want to spill blood in front of the queen. The second round she also fails to finish the party off, but this time they don't end up knocked out for an undetermined amount of time. The party gets up a bit later and manages to escape on to the queens airship. It's more like she hit you with a big attack to cover her escape.

As a playable character, her abilities are Seiken and Wht Mag. At the point she feels pressed either due to mp running low or she's taken too much damage so she hits hard to create a lull in combat.

It gives you a bunch of loveable misfits from all walks of life to care about and adore, and then pits them against the most unhinged collection of well-written, memorable baddies you ever did see. Kuja is a flamboyant megalomaniac, Zorn and Thorn are the weirdest little twins with the catchiest theme tune in existence, and then you have Beatrix.
