We counted 13 bridges over the creek on the way down. Easy walking except for a few short steep grades and quite a few tripping hazards to be watchful for. Nice hike, but it was very very slushy, wet and slippery! This was a great hike on a groomed trail. A perfect time to be out. Nice well signed trail with lots of beautiful wild flowers and butterflies.

This hut sits in a remote area of the Cypress Hills, the perfect place to relax and enjoy some solitude. You'll be able to enjoy exploring the Cypress Hills since the hut is close to viewpoints and trails. There is lighting and 12v electrical outlets powered by solar panels, and a wood stove for cozy winter nights. There are outhouses onsite and an additional campsite bedside the hut that can fit a tent or trailer. It is located on Graburn road, approximately 25km East of Elkwater town site. In the summer and fall this hut is accessible by car, or you can choose to hike in using the trails and roadways.
