Singing and dancing with you, sharing stories and being silly mean the world to me. I think having an active imagination is so important. A world filled with people who can imagine, dream, create and play is a world I want to live in! Play School allows me to help you use your imagination, your sense of wonder and play. I hope when you grow up you'll keep playing! As a little girl I was quiet and shy. Mum sent me to ballet lessons where I jumped and twirled for 15 years. I learnt to tap and dance on my tip toes. Then I discovered acting! Mum wondered where her shy girl had gone?! I've acted on television, in theatres and I even do funny voices for cartoon characters! Some special moments on Play School include having my daughter, Anouk, in an episode when she was a baby and having my son, Jed, in my tummy when we did Beginnings and Endings. I also loved writing and performing the Christmas Special. I also enjoy spending time with my family.

Play School tackles death for first time in new episode on beginnings and endings. It can be a challenging time for most of us, but the concept of death and grief is perhaps hardest to understand for children. Now, for the first time in 53 years, the ABC show Play School has tackled the issue directly with a new episode about beginnings and endings. Presenter Emma Palmer wrote the episode and said it was a sensitive topic that experts felt needed to be properly addressed. The Play School episode gets into the issue on multiple fronts, including the character of Little Ted mourning the death of his fish Swish and being comforted by friends.
