The synopsis of Donquixote Doflamingo from the One Piece anime and manga franchise. Doflamingo was born to the family of the Celestial Dragons in Mary Geoise. As a young child, Doflamingo enjoyed his privileges as a Celestial Dragon and unlike his parents or brother, Rosinante, Doflamingo was cruel and harsh to people he viewed to be below him. Then one day, Doflamingo's father, Donquixote Homing decided to revoke all his privileges as a Celestial Dragon alongside the rest of his family and wanted to live in the world with people who did not have the privileges as the nobles. As a result of his decision, the Donquixote Family left Mary Geoise and made their way to the North Blue to live the rest of their lives in peace. Doflamingo was upset by this decision as he no longer had slaves or the power he once had. After living among the civilians, the Donquixote Family were tracked down as pariah and were constantly attacked. By the age of eight, Doflamingo's mother died from an illness. At one point after Doflamingo's mother's death, Doflamingo, Rosinante, and Homing were captured by the civilians and tortured. The civilians felt that by torturing them they would avenge their loved ones who were victims of the Celestial Dragons. Despite the situation, Doflamingo did not beg or give and threaten to kill all of them, as the torturers and his family were shocked by his willpower. Doflamingo then unleashed his conqueror's haki to knock out the civilians and escape with his brother and father. Doflamingo later met Trebol, Diamante , Pica , and Vergo in the slums.

Saint Donquixote Homing was the father of Doflamingo and Rosinante. A former World Noble of the Donquixote Family , he withdrew from his position and left Mary Geoise in order to live a normal life with his family. After suffering two years of abuse from prejudiced civilians, Homing was killed by his then ten-year-old son, Doflamingo. Homing was a tall man, with dark blonde curly hair which reached to his shoulders, styled in the traditional way of the Celestial Dragons.
