Ditzy doll

Ditzy is a rather tall and lanky rag doll made of various yarns and fabrics, a giant sized cloth doll. She has grey and dark red fabrics and yarn that make up her body, a plastic white head with black markings that resemble a face with clown makeup and a a scarlet wig made of yarn. She wears a dulled blue dress with white buttons and a black belt sewn on, a matching color bow, as well as white gloves with four fingers each and boots. Her stuffing is comprised of sand and white fluff mainly her torso and legs, her arms appear to be purely fabric that flop and bend like noodles. She seems to have an interest in the care of the prisoners, but does not seem them as such, more friends than anything. Not much is known or said, except that the Baron found her in a junkyard and repurposed her to be a body guard for one of his prisons. She apparently was that endearing and adorable she joined him as a permanent mascot of McThrills, a fast food chain McThrill owns. The Last Roundup is the fourteenth episode of the second season of My Little Pony Friendship is Magic and the fortieth episode overall. After Applejack sends a note to her family and friends that says she will not return to Ponyville after competing in the Equestria Rodeo Competition in Canterlot , her friends decide to find her and understand her motives. On November 8, , episode writer Amy Keating Rogers posted a scene from the first draft of the script on Twitter that was cut from the final episode. The scene involves Applejack reluctantly accepting a saddle from Rarity before she leaves for the Canterlot Rodeo. Shortly after airing, some viewers complained that Derpy 's portrayal was offensive to mentally disabled people and contradicted the show's lessons about friendship. Amy Keating Rogers responded with a statement which was republished on Equestria Daily. Rogers intended this clumsy pony to be called Ditzy Doo as a reference to the episode Winter Wrap Up , but was asked to name her Derpy as a "tip of the hat" to the fans. The episode was removed from rotation and iTunes due to complaints about Derpy's portrayal, and was later put back up, after Derpy's voice and eyes had been changed, and the mention of her name removed.
