The profession of hairdresser requires at least the CAP hairdressing, which is prepared in two years after the third year of secondary school in a vocational school or in an apprentice training centre CFA - apprenticeship or professionalization contract. This basic diploma can be completed by a complementary mention MC colourist-permanentist or stylist-visagist in order to have the status of qualified worker. At BAC level, there is the BP hairdressing, which can be prepared in one year after the CAP, and the bac pro wigmaker-posticheur, which allows you to work in the film and theatre industry. The diploma is prepared in 2 years for those who have a BP in hairdressing or who have 5 years of experience as a hairdresser. There is also the CQP hairdressing salon manager which is accessible after 3 years of experience as a hairdresser.
