The Flag Pole is a craftable base structure in DayZ. When fully built with a Flag attached and hoisted, all items in a meter radius within a storage container will not despawn object lifetime values will be refreshed. The flag position will slowly lower over time but can be easily hoisted or lowered by the player. Below is the list of Equipment and Resources required to construct the Flag Pole. Note: The Shovel and Pickaxe have the same function when building the Flag Pole, and only one or the other is required to do so, as is for the Hatchet and Hammer. The sledgehammer is required though You'll still need the Pickaxe to collect the Large Stones. To begin crafting a Flag Pole, a Flag Pole Kit must be crafted and used to deploy the triangular crafting frame.

Not sure if we just arent used to pc dayZ much yet or we're missing some key info. Hmm thats strange, what should we do about our base then. Is there any way to keep everything from disappearing without a flag pole? Just build everything up normally and interact with everything every day or 2.
