Four Kings. Anyway, what is the best build, because I got the equiptment of any build, what ring should I use and what is the "correct" SL for summoning phantoms? Or should I try to solo it. I lost 10 humanity and over , souls soloing it, so I'm really pissed off. Stay as close to them as possible, like you can touch or run into them, as their blade swings do considerably less dmg at close distance. If u're using the 2 mentioned shields, just block all of their magic attack. After the 1st King goes down, continue to attack 'coz the dmg still registers into their shared health bar. Utilize any stamina regen items or consumables you have. This strategy only works for NG. If you're playing a Sorcerer, the Four Kings gets kind of trivial, just blast the first one that appears with everything you have as fast as you can and then wait for the next to pop up. Otherwise, what cua said, Havel's set and just tank the hell out of them, maybe using Iron Flesh if you're not too up for Power Within. Its the easiest way IMO. The hardest part is getting up to them without getting 1 or 2 shotted by their magic sword attacks. I've heard Iron Flesh can help but it doesn't seem to do anything for me. The one really dangerous attack is the explosion AOE they sometimes like to spam.
As long as you don't rest at any other bonfire except the abyss one, dying and using homeward will always take you there.
The Four Kings are a boss in Dark Souls. The Four Kings are humans several meters tall with profoundly changed bodies and completely gray skin. Bark-like wooden membranes spread out chaotically from their heart, where their Dark Sign once stood, almost entirely covering their chest and left arm and spreading like branches. Several root-like horns extend from their heads and their spindly legs appear to be covered in bark. They all wield an enormous but terribly distorted and segmented sword , similar to the roots of their body.

Once defeated, you can remove the ring. The Four Kings will deal massive physical and magic damage. Making high magic defence armour and items such as the Crest Shield an excellent choice.

Lord Gwyn recognized the foresight of these four great leaders of New Londo, and granted them their ranks and fragments of his Lord Soul. Sadly, they fell into the Dark after a primordial serpent offered them the Art of Lifedrain. To get to this boss you must first drain the water in the New Londo Ruins and have the Covenant of Artorias ring equipped before dropping from the stairs past the Fog Gate. Witch Beatrice You must have summoned her for the Moonlight Butterfly fight if you want to summon her here. Her Soul Sign is on the other side of a large pillar to your right while facing the bridge to the Fog Gate. The first thing to be aware of is the additional Kings. Keep an eye on your surroundings to ensure there is not another King sneaking up behind you. All four Kings are identical so if you are fighting more than one at once, target the one with the least health. You should aim to kill each King as quickly as you can so you are not fighting more than two Kings at once.

Multiple times I've had them hit me with the magic attack, and then start the grab attack and grab me the millisecond that I get up before I can even move. Wear whatever armour you have that can soak damage like a sponge, hug them and hack away with your mightiest weapon. Don't have an account? Given the nature of the attacks as discussed below, it is generally better for melee characters to get as close to the King as possible and continue strafing to one side, as this will cause the King to rely mostly on melee attacks in response, many of which will miss or do relatively little damage. I usually hit the four kings at around 30 - 50 the first time, then at in successive games. The sword slashes are easily dodged due to the slow attack animation, and the height difference. Load more. By quickly attacking one at a time, you will limit the amount you will fight, as more are summoned throughout the fight. Notes Despite being called the 'Four Kings', more than four bosses may spawn if the fight lasts long enough. For the next seconds you'll be under its effect so make the most out of it. The blasts encountered by the Four Kings is by far the more difficult attack to evade. It's certainly worth a visit. It cannot be evaded and may only be blocked by a high stability shield with high magic resistance; which will likely drain the entire stamina bar, but may also reduce the damage. If you did well you should have enough for the third guy.

The trick is to kill them fast enough so you are only fighting one at a time. Back up when they explode and block, then go back and hack right in! Even with high poise and high defense armor, their attacks whittle away at your vitality quickly and they have significantly increased health, which can throw off timing and make it difficult to kill one before another appears. Havels ring for mid roll. Several root-like horns extend from their heads and their spindly legs appear to be covered in bark. When you are very close to the Kings almost all of their attacks do very little damage except for the huge purple explosion, so watch out for his charge up. As Iwudacus said, it seems like they spawn faster with more people present and they appear to have a MUCH higher defense. There were FOUR kings, why is it that many more than 4 are able to spawn?? BoC is awful and also has a long runback, but at least it doesn't also have the added level of difficulty in addition to the BS that Four Kings has. While it won't do any damage to that particlar King, it will still lower the overall Boss health bar. Some of their attacks can take more than half your HP in one swing.
