Nearly everyone associated Border Collies with the typical black and white coloring most commonly seen in the breed, dark sable border collie. Many also know that these dogs occasionally come in red and white and in merle patterns. But have you ever heard of the really rare Border Collie colors — such as slate, lilac, blue or brindle?
