Two Sioux Falls police officers are facing child pornography charges after both were arrested within a week of each other this month. The first was Luke John Schauer, 28, who was charged federally with attempted production of child pornography and transfer of obscene materials to minors, according to court documents. He was arrested Feb. The second was Matthew Alan Jock, 23, who was arrested Wednesday and charged with five counts of possession, manufacturing and distribution of child porn, according to court documents. The two arrests are being investigated individually. Schauer's charges are in federal court while Jock's are out of Lincoln County at the state level. Jock's charges stem from an investigation from the South Dakota Division of Criminal Investigation after they received a tip on Jan. The tip was regarding a Kik Messenger user account that contained files suspected of depicting child porn, according to court documents.

An ex-county sheriff's deputy in New Mexico is facing federal criminal charges that could put him in prison for life in the sexual assault of a driver he handcuffed and put in his patrol vehicle following a vehicle crash in April.
