Lots of new staff with attitudes and 3 star service.

We have enjoyed many cruises. The Queen Mary 2 was by far the best yet. It's an ocean liner, not a cruise ship, which meant the "ride" was so smooth it was hard to tell we were at sea for most of our 3 week voyage. Even in high seas and gale force 10 winds, we found it easy to move around and hardly noticed the motion. The ship provides outstanding service in every department. The crew is exceptional, courteous, friendly and very professional, making everyone feel special. The variety and quality of entertainment and enrichment activities was also unusually high compared to other lines we have used.

The area could still benefit from more tables; we spotted some passengers taking their plates to Carinthia Lounge at busy times. With four elevators removed and 50 new cabins added during the refurbishment, Cunard QM2 -- as the ship is sometimes known -- could have become overcrowded around the other elevators, but this doesn't seem to be a problem.

Cunard cruise line has become synonymous with the romance and tradition of classic cruising - so what it's like to sail on Queen Mary 2 in the modern age? Cunard was founded way back in - with cruising for pleasure only taking off many decades later - but the world's only ocean liner, Queen Mary 2, possesses charm and magic enough to wow a 21st-century passenger.
