Programs are offered both on-campus in Carson, online and at various locations throughout the area. The programs offer faculty the opportunity to experiment with both curriculum and instructional formats. CCPE programs are largely financially self-supporting. The College provides courses, seminars, workshops, conferences, symposia and a variety of other programs for continuing education of professionals, and for those interested in developing personal and professional goals. From June through the final week in August, the College of Continuing and Professional Education offers a comprehensive array of extension courses, certificate programs, professional and personal development courses. In addition, an extensive schedule of degree-applicable courses is available for matriculated and non-matriculated students.

This program focuses on the responsibilities of a Safety Professional and reviews extensively both federal and state occupational safety and health standards a Safety Professionals needs to be familiar with. The CSHO certificate of completion provides two clear and defined paths of study based on the participants area of interest. Program participants are required to select one of the two tracks available, Construction or General Industry Safety. Individuals seeking to obtain the CSHO certificate must have a minimum of 5 years of experience overseeing safety and meet the prerequisite requirements of OSHA or To earn the Certified Safety and Health Official Certificate, participants must complete total of seven 7 required and two 2 elective courses.
