While I feel strongly that the Weber Genesis is the better grill, the comparison is not a slam dunk. The Weber has a two piece cast iron grate that is protected from rusting by a porcelain enamel coating. The Weber grate is perfectly fine but is not as nice as the one the Kirkland which are made of solid stainless steel rods. The stainless steel rod grate on the Kirkland grill will give you better grill marks and is much easier to clean than the cast iron Weber grate. Additionally the Kirkland grates are slightly larger than the Weber grate sq in vs sq in giving you a little more grilling room. The location of the propane tank is a minor issue for some people and a major one for others. Either way, the win goes to Weber for this feature. The Kirkland grill has the propane tank located underneath the grill behind the enclosed cabinet. The Weber grill has the propane tank located on the side of the grill behind a decorative cover. Changing out the propane tank on the Kirkland grill will require you to squat down and get into a little bit of an awkward angle while you can switch out the tank on the Weber simply by bending over.

I have a similar model, the Genesis S that was made in and it is the best full sized grill that I have ever owned. The only thing wrong with this grill is that it is a leftover model from several years ago. The latest version of this grill, available at Home Depot and Amazon, has a slightly larger sear zone and a few more bells and whistles. The newest version of the Genesis is a nicer grill but comes with a much larger price tag. We will let the stunning design of this grill speak for itself but the other points can use some elaboration. The Genesis II E has a ton of grilling space. You get square inches on the primary cooking grate and an additional square inches on the elevated tuck away grate. You can easily grill for people and not worry about running out of space. The grate, like all other components on this grill, is covered by a 10 year warranty. The Genesis II series grills are upgraded with rectangular burner tubes which are tapered from front to back for more even heating throughout the grill.

It's nice this model has stainless grills but I can never wrap my head around the lack of value you get with Weber, I don't think you can go wrong between Weber or Napoleon at the end of the day though.
