Results 1 to 10 of Thread Tools Show Printable Version. I have no sewing skills so I was planning on doing a Kamsnap based top quilt as I've seen a few other users do. It's basically a synthetic version, albeit a little larger, of the down quilts. Lightweight, good to about 45 degrees and packs to about the same size as the CDT. Made up a snap based top quilt this evening with the Jungle Blanket and Costco Down Throws and tried them out. The Jungle Blanket is a nice shell as it about 3" larger than the Costco throws in all dimensions. On it's own, it would be fine for temps down to about degrees. While I understand all the attention given to the Costco Quilts, I found the Jungle Blanket, to be a very nice, more rugged, slightly larger alternative. It's quite thin but still soft and warm. Doesn't slide off you as easily as type CDT as it has a soft, more suede like interior fabric and a rugged diamond weave exterior. Since it was 32 degrees or so outside, I didn't try the Jungle Blanket top quilt on its own. I tucked in a single Costco throw top quilt and tried it for 30 minutes or so.

The Pure Wool Throw is dry-clean-only, and it may not be the best choice for families with kids or with pets who like to chew on blankets.

I use mine in the summer months and find it to be perfect. Wool, cashmere, and alpaca. Riley had some serious shipping delays and supply issues during the first year or two of the pandemic. Some wool is washable, but if the care label on a wool, cashmere, or alpaca blanket says the throw should be dry-cleaned only, then running it through the washer and dryer is not worth the risk. Like a wearable towel, these soft fleece throws have animal hoods and pockets at the corners for hands. This throw is made from a mix of recycled wool and recycled synthetics.
