The series premiere and three following episodes dropped on 13 July On 6 August , Comicstaan was renewed for a second season. Comicstaan Season 2 premiered on 12 July where it released its first three episodes along with one bonus episode. The winner of Season 1 was Nishant Suri. Season 2 had combined winners namely Samay Raina and Aakash Gupta.

Comicstaan Season 1 is an Indian stand-up comedy competition series created by the content production house Only Much Louder. They are mentored and judged by a panel of experienced performers throughout the season, who decide their fate in the end. The one-of-a-kind reality show features an aspiring array of comic talents hailing from different parts of India. The contestants take part in a series of challenges, performing comedic acts of different categories, including anecdotal and observational, in a bid to score the most points. The season ends with a grand finale that features the top five participants of the term, in the conclusion of which, the top performer is crowned as the champion. The reality comedy series introduces its viewers to budding new Indian comedians, with a panel of judges determining their merit.

Comicstaan season 1

The grand finale episode was shot at Opera House in Mumbai. Along with the finalists, the judges also gave rib tickling performances. Nishant took home the prize money of Rs 10 lakh. Rahul and Prashasti were announced as the first and second runner-up, respectively. The self-proclaimed Saddam Hussein lookalike, Nishant had a rollercoaster journey on Comicstaan. While he started off with some great performances, in the later episodes, his position on the leader board dropped drastically. It was only in the semi-finale episode that Nishant impressed the judges and found his way into the top 5. Each episode of Comicstaan saw contestants being mentored by one of the judges on a specific genre of comedy.
