I'm not disappointed at Phelps's death, just how it was sloppily handled it was as well as the funeral. His death scene and funeral spanned for like a total of 3 minutes! I am going to assume they just ran out of time for the game because that ending couldn't have felt more rushed. The end felt like just another conclusion of a case, completely devoid of emotion. Cole should have at least had a 'life flashing before his eyes' moment to make the scene a LITTLE emotional and show he horribly regretted all he's done in the war.

This was not intended as a back door to a sequel, it was just the end. It fell out of style, in favor of the "Ride off into The Sunset" ending, because that sold more tickets.
