Chanel les beiges water fresh tint review
Was it worth the hype? More importantly, was it worth the price tag? Did Chanel get it right?
Any new Chanel product gains serious attention — it is the epitome of luxury beauty after all. So getting to try this one ahead of its launch made our tester feel pretty smug. For those of you who are ahead of the curve, you may have guessed that the hybrid is made up of a concealer and foundation. The official name is the water fresh complexion touche de teint and it forms part of the ever so popular les beiges collection. Joining a highlighting powder , illuminating oil, bronzing cream and eyeshadow palette in the line-up of summer-ready luxury goodies. When we say the same one, we literally mean the same one stick that just gets an anti-bac wipe every now and again. And if you are still reeling from the advent calendar fiasco, this may just be the product that makes you fall back in love with Chanel all over again.

The first time I saw it in pictures, I thought it was a liquid bronzer, due to the depth of colour of the product. I can predict that opinions will be wildly divided on this product. Many will deem it far too sheer and therefore too expensive. Many might struggle to see the point of the product. I however, love it to bits! And I will tell you why. What it is, is a very curious, and innovative product. Pigment that makes up the foundation shade is suspended in a clear, lightweight watery gel base. It looks like roughly blended flour in water LOL! When you pump out the product, it looks like what you see in the upper portion of my hand. A transparent, watery gel with bits of pigment floating in it. When you mix the product, and pop the encapsulated pigments, you will notice that they blend into a noticeable tint of colour.
You can see that this foundation looks fresh and glowing on the skin but it still has a great coverage and creamy texture on the skin. Been waiting on your review since I saw you talk about it on IG — as always a thorough and well written review! Thank you for such an informative post!
I ordered these the second they launched online at Chanel. The formula has micro-droplet pigments suspended in a gel formula. This newer formula offers beautiful medium coverage with a lightweight feel, dewy finish and impressive lasting power. It gives the skin a plump fresh glow in a healthy kind of way and I prefer it over the original Les Beiges Water-Fresh Tint which I found a bit too sheer for my taste. Breaking up the pigments and mixing them into the gel formula before applying to skin is the best way to get smooth flawless coverage. I ended up trying it this week and was pleasantly surprised to find it perfect for blending cream product under the eye area or around the nose.
There is no denying Chanel knows how to do foundation. For me, foundation can make or break my whole makeup look. From a cakey mess to a ghastly oxidized finish, foundation is at the root of it all. One brand I have always been able to rely on is Chanel, and boy does it know how to create a great base product, and so when it released the Chanel Les Beiges Water-Fresh Complexion Touch foundation, it went straight into my basket. I pump the formula onto the back of my hand and break up the micro-droplet pigments using the brush that comes with it," says Chanel makeup artist Anna Payne. The formula melts into the skin and feels lightweight and nourishing while giving the perfect level of coverage.

It really covers enough and looks great in pictures. I would personally never do that, because I abhor putting on that much makeup on my skin. The texture of this foundation really does feel like water, despite the medium coverage and natural finish. The pigments break apart and melt into the skin upon contact to give you a healthy glow. I am including a brief comparison of the comparable formulas available on the market and how this Complexion Touch formula compares to the original Tint formula. This allows you to enjoy that very light hint of coverage, like a watercolour wash of colour, while feeling like you have nothing on. I have read complaints about the brush being too small. It is hard for everyday consumers to gauge a product just from the name. I would have loved it in a larger size just like the original version. The shade range really doesn't cover all skin tones and could still use an expansion. Forgotten your password? This packaging really lets the product shine and it is a practical packaging for travel. With a formula so expensive and not necessarily designed to be full coverage, using more coverage to achieve full coverage is a waste of money.

Butylene Glycol. When you use the foundation, you will notice there are pigments suspended in watery clear gel. Most those white hair. I personally love this product, as I enjoy using light, sheer bases that just even out skin tone. The cream looks white with very small drops of pigment in it which is released when put on skin. A white cream, but when you blend, it takes on a tint. The formula doesn't have a tendency to streak and looks very smooth and even on the skin. I absolutely loved the first color I tried Intense Coral which has great color payoff for a sheer natural looking blush. Sodium Lauroyl Glutamate. Have never really liked putting foundation on my face. I pump the product on the back of my hand, then use the brush to mix it up.
