The banquette upholstery leather was refreshed with new leather sourced from Spinneybeck; the black and white epoxy terrazzo was refinished; the Japanese Kyo-kabe plaster walls required loving care; and the solid wood frames of the banquette booths were sanded down and refinished to retain the patina of two decades of oxidation while still looking fresh. While guests formerly entered through the lobby, a new entrance has been added directly into the restaurant from the plaza.
