Well balanced—not too dark but not too light either, carmelitas café. It's creamy, with hints of bittersweet chocolate and a slight nutty note. A food revolution is happening right now in Mexico City and it's one we were.

Confirm Password. Most likely, the laughter is that of Carmelita, the owner and chef of the family-run restaurant which bears her name. The smell of the masa cooking is intoxicating and will make your stomach growl. Carmelita will then greet you, likely with a hug and kiss on the cheek, and take you a table in their open-air dining space under a pergola cover draped with plants. For 12 years, Carmelita owned and ran and food stand at the airport, until we imagine the demand grew so high and her reputation spread so far that a brick and mortar establishment was in order. It is owned by family and once you experience it, you are family too.

Super beautiful cafe. With great selection of drinks hot and cold sandwiches and desserts. Lovely Lizzy at cash was fabulous. We will be back and maybe try high tea! Dietary restrictions: Very considerate and conscious of food restrictions. February The cafe is cute but everything else is underwhelming.

I usually go up to Santa Fe once a week for work and this place has been my recent go to for lunch as the food is amazing and the staff are always so friendly. I tried the Cubano the first time I went and it was delicious! After trying the burger though it definitely ranks as my favorite from anywhere around NM! For my next visit I'm looking forward to trying the Gyro July Carmelita's makes and I might add, a delicious burger and fries and it's worth every nickel spent there. They are a delightful, talented food-wise crew and cannot recommend them highly enough.

I tried pour over and french press with varying amounts of coffee ground with anywhere from a to a ratio of water to coffee. I was however disappointed to discover I only received a half a bag. I get bittersweet chocolate , but not caramel or butter. Very pleasant sipper! My husband said he also thoroughly enjoyed but preferred as iced coffee which he doesn't drink iced coffee and I mean never, ever. The sweet dulce breads, breakfast empandas, enchiladas, quesadillas… are simply amazing. Let us be your guide. See all. The flavor was full but not overpowering - very good Afternoon drinking coffee. With a splash of milk, Carmelita makes a delicious faux-mocha; no additional chocolate needed. That's amazing.
