The book will receive a reissue as a part of the Infinity Saga series on May 14, On the book's front cover is concept art of Captain America in one of his early uniforms while the back features an unused crest for the Strategic Scientific Reserve. In all, there are seven chapter in the book which focus on a different subject feature. The majority of the text in the chapters is composed of statements and explanations made by the various concept artist. Along with the seven chapters, there is a foreword by production designer Rick Heinrichs followed by an introduction which details the origin of Captain America and how the character was brought to the screen.

With their advanced technology, Hydra has long been a threat to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Even so, a new piece of Captain America: The First Avenger concept art shows that their tech could have been even bigger and badder in the Star-Spangled Avenger's first film. Uploaded onto Instagram by former Marvel Studios Co-Head of Visual Development Charlie Wen, who co-founded the department with current head Ryan Meinerding, the concept art shows a Hydra tank that looks almost like something out of an anime, with its machine gun hands and its track-covered wheel feet. The use of black, white and gray in the photo adds to the more ominous feel of the image. While impressive to look at, the concept art also makes it clear that such a creation would have been costly for the film. Even though it is just as impressive as other pieces of technology in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Captain America managed to overcome Hydra's forces in his first film.
