Busselton is a city in the South West region of the state of Western Australia approximately km mi south-west of Perth. Now here is a place where my wife and I visited and from 20 years ago to just recent and although still a lovely town atmosphere, this place is booming. Enjoyed the swimming and the water was absolutely flat. We brought a truck tyre tube and that's where I floated. A nice town and Busselton has come a long way since we first visited 20 years ago.

Busselton was one of the earliest settlements in Western Australia. It was first settled by the Bussell family , George Layman, and the Chapman brothers, who relocated there from their location on the Blackwood River. John Garrett Bussell first visited Busselton in December , describing the land as follows: "The country as we advanced improved rapidly; the ground on which we trod was a vivid green, unsullied with burnt sticks and blackened grass trees". The Bussells established a cattle station which they named Cattle Chosen, which quickly became one of the most prosperous stations in the colony, and as a result, nearly all of the settlers at Augusta relocated to the area within a few years.
