Get a webcam like this for your own website This live webcam is located at the lovely Breakwater Bistro in Brixham, Devon which overlooks the outer harbour and the Breakwater itself. This is a great place to eat, drink and take in the lovely view at any time of year. The Breakwater Bistro is open days a year too. Brixham's outer harbour is protected by this long breakwater which is also useful for sea angling and hundreds of ships have been wrecked on the rocks around the town. One terrible storm in was so bad that even the beacon on the breakwater was swept away. Fifty vessels were wrecked and more than one hundred lives were lost in the storm that night. After the storm of the wreckage stretched for nearly three miles up the coast from Brixham. As a result the citizens of Exeter donated money to help set up the Brixham Lifeboat. This is now called the Torbay Lifeboat Station and is situated just across the Breakwater where it is sheltered. You can get a clear view of the lifeboat from our roving live Brixham Harbour webcam.
