Find a range of lesson plans to use with teenage learners at pre-intermediate level. All of our lessons are designed around themes that are engaging and relevant to secondary learners and can be used to complement your school curriculum, giving students an opportunity to develop their English language and skills in motivating and enjoyable ways. Written by young learner experts from around the world, our lesson plans are easy to use and aim to give your students the skills and confidence they need to enjoy learning English. This lesson plan for English language learners at pre-intermediate level looks at the Troubles in Northern Ireland by exploring the murals of that time to develop basic visual literacy skills. Access the face-to-face and online teaching versions of this lesson plan exploring the theme of chocolate. This lesson raises awareness of how much unnecessary plastic is used in packaging and asks students to look at alternatives. A lot of people make resolutions at the beginning of a new year and January is a good time for language learners to think about what they can do to maximise their learning in the year ahead. Focusing on speaking, vocabulary and writing, this lesson aims to raise awareness of the many reasons not to smoke tobacco. All over the world we have unique names for the months of the year, often with historical or cultural references.
